The cover on sofa bed I have is fraying. Should I get a slip cover? Or what do you suggest?
It is a full size sofa: mattress 53"back height 25"arm height 26" depth 36"purchased in 2000.
The present cover is a dark neutral gray color with pale piping I would like to repeat if possible

First of all, thank you for being so attentive. We honestly didn't request or expect anything from you folks - just wanted to share our experience.

And while we still have the Sofa, we will definitely take you up on your offer. Let me know how to coordinate scheduling and payment with you and we'll plan accordingly.

I do want to point out that we have - from Day 1 - fluffed, turned and flipped all of the cushions (seat and back) on a daily basis ... literally!

Yesterday, your fellow asked how we maintained the cushions - when I told him he then repeated the scenario to me verbatim, insisting that they weren't maintained. I felt like I was in a Felini movie!

As mentioned, we never really expected anything from Carlyle. That our product is the company's standard is something we have to accept. It's just perplexing to us that with three houses and three Sofabeds, this is the only one that has ever presented any of these problems. And, I might add, this one cost at least 1/3 more than the others.

Anyway, thanks for whatever you can do and let us know how to coordinate with you. Your professionalism is commendable!

PS We will replace the Sofa bed at some point next Summer. Would anyone at Carlyle know of any non-profit organizations in need of this type of furniture in 2012?

Hi there!

I bought a beautiful Carlyle Convertible between '99-'00 from the West 18th St. location. It's still wonderful, but:

- The piece is mohair, and needs a proper cleaning by someone who knows how to care for, and stain-treat mohair. Can you recommend a reputable upholstery cleaner, preferably Carlyle-affiliated, in Monmouth or Ocean County, NJ?

- During a move, two of the four feet/legs went missing. They are 2" high, triangular (2"X2"X2 1/2") plastic pieces, that take two screws each. The convertible is a 3-cushion, tuxedo style. Do you sell, or can you direct me to, replacement pieces?

As you may be aware, our new couch arrived this week and we couldn't be happier. After too much time looking, and spending more than we planned, it's a perfect fit and a whole lot more comfortable than the 25yr old one it replaces ;-) (As an addded bonus we donated the old one to Habitat for Humanity who found a new home for it the same day).

after seeing your ads in the NYT forever and lusting after your sleep-sofa I have moved to California and assume shipping would be ridiculous.
So, I am left with a wish for your marketing department to contact The, How Its Made, people at the Science Channel and talk into showing the steps in constructing your products.
Why? To tell the story, show Americans actually making something, and lastly, most of the subjects on the show are made by robots and your segment will have lost of humans, which would be wonderful.
Love your sleepsofas - but from afar and with budget problems.

I was very happy to have a friend offer me her Carlyle sofabed. She says that it has a standard mattress and I am interested in getting a deluxe reversible or an innerspring air mattress. If she gives me her Carlyle, will I be able to buy the mattress that I want from you and have that put on the sofa, or will it not fit properly? Also, how much would these mattresses and the installation on the sofa cost (queen size)?

Hello

I was wondering if my sleeper sofa + loveseat could be re-upholstered. They were bought together in 1997 at Castro convertible and the frames appear solid. Everything else needs to be replaced. Can the bed component be removed without harming the frame or does it need to stay? we don't use it for guests much and it makes the sofa incredibly heavy to move. Also, could you tell me the names of any fabric providers I might go to for good quality sofa fabrics?
